Profil IBT KMIP Pekanbaru
Pembentukan IBT KMIP (Komunitas Masyarakat Inovatif Kota Pekanbaru) dimulai dari pembentukan KMIP (Komunitas Masyarakat Inovatif Kota Pekanbaru) tanggal 30 Desember 2019, beranggotakan seluruh peserta lomba inovasi masyarakat tahun 2019. Lalu tahun 2020 bertransformasi menjadi IBT KMIP (Komunitas Masyarakat Inovatif Kota Pekanbaru) melalui SK walikota Pekanbaru No 330 Tahun 2020 Tentang Pembentukan Inkubator Bisnis dan Teknologi Kumunitas Masyarakat Inovatif Pekanbaru (IBT-KMIP), hal ini sesuai dengan Pasal 33 Ayat 2 Undang-Undang No 11 tahun 2019 tentang Sistem Nasional Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi yang menyatakan pemerintah Pusat dan Daerah bersinergi dalam memfasilitasi pengembangan inkubasi teknologi, kemitraan industri, dan atau pengembangan kawasan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi ssuai dengan kesiapan dan Keunggulan daerah.
Penjaringan dan penghargaan kreativitas inovasi (krenova) masyarakat kota pekanbaru tahun 2019 merupakan salah satu upaya wujud kepedulian pemerintah kota pekanbaru melalui badan penelitian dan pengembangan dalam memotivasi kreativitas dan inovasi masyarakat serta mendorong para pelajar, mahasiswa dan masyarakat untuk berinovasi dalam berbagai bidang sehingga mampu meningkatkan daya saing dan kesejahteraan masyarakat.
Melalui Penjaringan dan penghargaan KRENOVA diharapkan dapat menjembatani ide/gagasan dan hasil/produk dari para inventor serta para penyedia teknologi dengan pihak yang membutuhkan teknologi (masyarakat dan pelaku bisnis/usaha), dengan memanfaatkan sumberdaya yang ada seperti pemanfaatan barang/bahan baku yang sudah tidak terpakai (limbah) di sekitar kita dan penerapan konsep/ide baru yang dapat meningkatkan daya saing daerah.
Selama ini kreativitas dan inovasi masyarakat kota Pekanbaru tidak terdokumentasi dan terpublikasi dengan baik dan belum terlindungi kekayaan intelektualnya karena masih minimnya pengetahuhan masyarakat dan dukungan pemerintah, oleh sebab itu Penjaringan dan Penghargaan Krenova ini sangat penting dan relevan untuk dilaksanakan. Pada tahun ini Pemerintah Kota Pekanbaru melalui Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan telah menginisisasi kegiatan tersebut sebagai bentuk dukungan menuju visi Kota Pekanbaru Smart City Madani.
